FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions about scheduling, insurance, fees, and what to expect at your visits.

Scheduling & first visits

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes — Westborough Dental Care welcomes new patients. You can request an appointment through our online booking (Oryx or Zocdoc) or call (650) 873-6681 directly.
How long is the first visit?
About 60 to 90 minutes. It includes a comprehensive exam, full series of digital X-rays, a professional cleaning if your gum health allows, and a written treatment plan you take home.
What should I bring?
Your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any prior dental records or X-rays if you have them. Our front-desk team helps with intake paperwork.
Do you treat children?
Yes — we treat patients of all ages. Our Child Membership Plan ($20/month) is designed specifically for patients 13 and under who do not have dental insurance.

Insurance & fees

What insurance do you accept?
We are PPO-only — see our full list of 14 accepted PPO carriers. We are not contracted with HMO plans. Tier coverage varies for Cigna, Anthem, and United Concordia — please verify your specific plan before your visit.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
We offer a membership plan with three tiers (Adult $45/mo, Perio $80/mo, Child $20/mo + $250 lifetime activation). It covers routine cleanings, exams, X-rays, fluoride, and one emergency visit per year, plus discounted pricing on additional treatment.
How much does a typical visit cost?
See our published fees page for current UCR pricing. A new-patient exam is $209, full digital X-ray series is $274, and adult cleaning is $209. Insurance reimbursement varies by plan.
Do you offer payment plans?
For larger treatment plans, we can discuss financing options including CareCredit. Please ask the front desk during your treatment-plan review.

Emergencies & after hours

I have a toothache — can I be seen today?
Call (650) 873-6681 as early as possible — we hold time in the daily schedule for urgent visits. A limited emergency exam is $180 and palliative emergency treatment is $310 (see fees page).
What if I have a dental emergency outside office hours?
Our office hours are Mon–Thu 7 am to 3 pm. Outside these hours, please call (650) 873-6681 and follow the after-hours instructions. For life-threatening emergencies (severe bleeding, swelling affecting breathing), call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
