Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information westboroughdentalcare.com collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Information you share as a patient of our practice is protected under HIPAA and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which we give you at your first visit and which you can request from the front desk at any time.

What we collect

• What you send us. This site has no appointment or contact form. When you call us or email [email protected], we receive what you choose to share, typically your name, phone number and the reason for your visit. Please do not send health information by email.
• Online booking. Our online booking links take you to our scheduling partners, Oryx and Zocdoc. Anything you enter there is collected by them under their own privacy policies, not through this website.
• Analytics, only with your permission. If you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics measures which pages are visited and whether a visit led to a booking click, a call tap or a directions request. It receives the page path, never anything you type. If you do not allow it, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
• Basic site operation. Like any website, our servers log technical data such as IP address and browser type to keep the site secure. Cloudflare protects the site against abuse. Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, and some video thumbnails come from YouTube; your browser requests these directly, which shares your IP address with Google but sets no cookies. Videos play on YouTube only if you click through to them.

How we use it

To answer your questions, schedule and deliver your care, keep the site secure, and understand which pages help patients find us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. This site runs no advertising pixels.

Cookies and your privacy choices

The only cookie set without your permission records your privacy choice itself. Google Analytics cookies are set only after you select “Allow analytics.” You can change your answer at any time with the Your Privacy Choices link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing removes the analytics cookies. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a “no.” Because we act on that signal, we do not separately respond to browser “Do Not Track” settings.

Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run the site, under agreements that limit their use of your information: our hosting and security providers, and, only if you allow analytics, Google. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Emails and call notes are kept as long as needed to respond to you and for our records; information that becomes part of your dental record is kept as California law requires. Security logs are kept only as long as needed to protect the site. Google Analytics keeps its data only in aggregate reports and under the retention limit set in our account.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither), and to be treated equally when you use these rights. To make a request, email [email protected] or call (650) 873-6681. We will verify your request before acting on it. To request a copy of your dental records, call the office.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Parents and guardians handle scheduling for minors by phone.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
