What makes a dental office digital?
Digital dentistry replaces traditional impressions, film X-rays, and lab-fabricated restorations with in-office scanning, 3D imaging, and same-day milling. At Westborough Dental Care that means iTero and Primescan intraoral scanners for 3D digital impressions, a Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scanner for 3D bone imaging, a CEREC mill that produces permanent porcelain crowns on-site in under an hour, and a 3D printer for surgical guides, retainers, and night guards.
Why it matters: fewer appointments, no impression material, dramatically lower radiation than film X-rays, and your digital records travel with you if you ever need a specialist referral. A limited Cone Beam CT scan is $631 UCR; a panoramic radiograph is $246.
